Rusty Calloway
Reporter and editor, The Praetorian Press
I started The Praetorian Press to get good at journalism the only way that works: by doing it every day where people can see it.
Each day I pick one story from the national news and report it straight. What happened, who it lands on, and what to watch for next. I write for people my age who care what’s going on but don’t have an hour for cable news.
How I work
- Every factual claim is sourced, and the sources are listed under each piece.
- If I get something wrong, the correction goes at the bottom of the piece with the date. Nothing gets quietly deleted.
- When I’m giving an opinion, the piece is filed in the Opinion room so you always know which is which.
